Customer Advisory: Italian Waiting Time Regulations for Loading and Unloading
Effective: 15 November 2025
Dear Valued Customer,
We would like to inform you of a new regulatory change in Italy that affects loading and unloading operations. Under the new Conversion Law D.L. 73/2025, waiting time allowances have been reduced from 2 hours to 90 minutes, which will influence compensation and operational handling.
As a result of this change, our partner SACO Combimar will implement a “Contribution to Waiting Costs” fee, applicable from 15 November 2025 to all import and export shipments.
New Contribution Rates:
- EUR 3.00 w/m for exports
- EUR 5.00 w/m for imports
These contributions will be applied to shippers and consignees in Italy. The adjustment aims to ensure compliance with Italian regulations and support smooth, efficient operations throughout the logistics chain.
